Key Responsibilities

Act as first-chair trial counsel on complex real property disputes, including commercial lease, partnership and joint venture, hospitality, zoning, condemnation, and environmental litigation.

Manage high-stakes litigation matters throughout the entire life cycle—from pre-litigation counseling and pleadings through discovery, dispositive motions, trial, and settlement.

Serve as a core subject-matter authority and strategic resource for the firm's real estate transactional practice group.

Provide direct leadership, supervision, and mentorship to mid-level and junior litigation associates.

Leverage firm-provided resources and marketing budgets to cultivate existing relationships and actively drive business development.

Candidate Qualifications

12–15+ years of dedicated commercial litigation experience, with an extensive, demonstrable focus in real estate litigation.

Substantial first-chair trial and courtroom experience handling multi-faceted property and contract disputes.

Proven track record of business generation or a demonstrated commitment to expanding an active practice.

Superior drafting, dispute-negotiation, case-management, and organizational capabilities under demanding deadlines.

Energetic team player and mentor who thrives in a dynamic, high-performance environment.

Admission in good standing to the New York State Bar.

Annual Billable Expectation: 1,800 hours.
