JOB OPENING FOR A
nREAL PROPERTY SPECIALIST
nFOR THE
nWashington County Assessor's Office
nFULL TIME/ WITH BENEFITS/ $21.26 PER HOUR
nWashington County is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and service-minded Real Property Specialist to join the Assessor's Office. This position provides technical and specialized office support for the County's real property assessment program, while also serving as an important point of contact for the public. The position works closely with appraisal teams to research property information, maintain accurate records and databases, process documents, and support assessment-related activities.
nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
nnProvide friendly and professional customer service to the public by phone and in person.
nResearch, collect, verify, and maintain real property and sales information.
nResearch parcel splits, combinations, ownership, and property records.
nProcess, scan, organize, annotate, and maintain electronic and paper records.
nMaintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data management systems.
nCoordinate the collection of building permits and related information from municipalities.
nPrepare correspondence, reports, presentations, educational materials, and other documents.
nProcess assessment-related billings, payments, refunds, and data calculations.
nAssist with appeals and prepare documentation for the County Board of Equalization.
nProofread and review documents and reports for accuracy and completeness.
nPerform mathematical calculations, reconcile totals, and prepare data and estimates.
nCoordinate assessment activities with County departments and appraisal teams.
nMaintain office inventories, resources, files, and records.
n nQUALIFICATIONS
nnHigh school diploma or equivalent; and
nTwo (2) years of clerical or technical office experience involving duties related to the position;
nOr an equivalent combination of education and experience.

nCan perform mathematical calculations involving percentages and fractions.
nWorks well independently and as part of a team.
