Aquatic Lifeguard PositionWilson is a city of around 50,000 people located in the heart of eastern North Carolina. To learn more about our benefits package, click on the 'Benefits' tab above.Hourly Rate: $12.00 - $15.00/hrJob ResponsibilitiesRec Aide - Lifeguard 1 $12.00/hr Major Duties Specific duties of the position include but are not limited to:Open the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hoursMonitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issuesDirect swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditionsMonitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guestsProvide swimming lessons when availableMaintain a clean environment in and around the poolProvide assistance to patrons when appropriate or necessaryManagement/Supervisory ResponsibilityNoneRec Aide - Lifeguard 2 $13.00/hrMajor DutiesOpen the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hoursMonitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issuesDirect swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditionsMonitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guestsProvide swimming lessons when availableMaintain a clean environment in and around the poolProvide assistance to patrons when appropriate or necessaryManagement/Supervisory ResponsibilityREC Aide Lifeguard 1Rec Aide - Head Lifeguard $15.00/hrMajor DutiesOpen the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hoursMonitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issuesDirect swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditionsMonitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guestsProvide swimming lessons when availableMaintain a clean environment in and around the poolProvide assistance to patrons when appropriate or necessaryKey HolderManagement/Supervisory ResponsibilityREC Aide Lifeguard 1 & 2Minimum QualificationsEducation/Experience RequirementsApplicants must provide a copy of a valid Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification.It is highly desirable that candidates have a CPO certification as well as experience teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team.Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule with preference to those available to work morning shifts Monday– Friday, 5:30 AM to 10 AM.Work Environment/Physical DemandsMust be able to perform daily tasks which include the following bodily movements: sits, stand, reach, turn, climb, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crawl, push and pull frequently, grasp objects, use fine manipulation, write and operate office machines and equipment, and strength to safely perform lifting and carrying of items up to but not limited to at least 50 pounds.BenefitsThis is a temporary part-time position and there are no benefits designated for such.
