Job description
Receiver/ShipperConval, Inc., a leading manufacturer of severe service industrial valves, is hiring a Receiver/Shipper to join our Production Control team. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our shipping and receiving operations accurate, efficient, and on schedule — handling everything from incoming materials to outgoing shipments across multiple carriers.What You'll Do:Count, weigh, and inspect incoming materials and supplies; enter receiving data into the computer systemLoad, unload, and receive crates, parts, and raw materials from carriersMark and tag containers for accurate storage identification (PO numbers, sales order numbers, etc.)Inspect materials for damage and notify Supervisors/Purchasing as neededPackage and ship product using current instructions from Supervisors, Sales, and ManagementBuild skids, crates, and cardboard cartonsOperate pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, and cranes, as well as pneumatic and hand toolsMaintain accurate daily shipment records and an organized, safe work areaParticipate in cycle counts and assist with parts receiving/issuingUse UPS shipping software to generate labels, tags, and packing listsWhat You'll Bring:High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combinationStrong verbal and written communication skillsSolid organizational and decision-making skillsComputer literacyFamiliarity with order processing systems, shipping software, and MRP systems a plusForklift certification (or willingness to obtain)Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. frequentlyWhy Conval?Join a company with a strong reputation for engineering excellence in severe service valve solutions, where your work directly supports getting quality products to customers who depend on us.Conval, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
