Job description
Warehouse PositionMonday - Friday 7:00am-3:45pm occasional mandatory weekends and overtime 6:00am-4:45pm $16.00/HREssential FunctionsRegular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.Receives Bill of Lading from the driver and visually checks for accuracy.Enters in purchase order number, number of pallets, date of receipt, carrier, and product count into the computerized inventory system.Using the packing slip or invoice, breaks down delivery as specified and checks against packing slip by highlighting the quantity and title for accuracy of delivery.Verifies product against packing slip or invoice, scans (pallet/case label) license plate (LPN) into system to link product with location of product in the warehouse.Weights, measures length, width, depth of the product and enters the information into the inventory system.Verifies purchase order number, ISBN number, quantity of product received for accuracy in the inventory system.Attaches (pallet/case label) license plate sticker to the bottom right corner on both sides of the pallet for product identification for the equipment operators and tracking purposes.Must be able to follow safety rules for personal protection and the protection of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Troubleshoots problems with invoice or purchase orders by utilizing the iSeries system.Non-Essential FunctionsOther duties may be assigned, directed or requested.QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Minimum of 1-2 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.Must have basic computer skills.Knowledge of computerized inventory control system preferred.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand up to 8-10 hours in a day.Must be able to walk 8-10 hours per day.Will occasionally climb.Will occasionally use pallet jacks or powered equipment to move pallets of product.Will frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel, and push/pull from 36-50 pounds.Will frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds.Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation.Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.Must be able to wear gloves occasionally.Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, in English.Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization.Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate basic math (subtraction, multiplication and addition)Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Work EnvironmentThe work performed is in a warehouse environmentThe employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machineryThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibelsMust be able to work in a fast paced, team environment
