Receiving Associate (Elkhorn)Join the Open Door Mission's team of dedicated staff who are committed to full-time Christian ministry and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty! If you are looking for more than a job, join us at our Outreach Center in Elkhorn, NE as a Receiving Associate! In this position you will maintain a Christ-centered receiving program that meets the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of low-income families and single individuals in the community of Omaha. Our Elkhorn Center brings in the most donations of any location, making this position an extremely important one in our Community Outreach department!ResponsibilitiesReceive and record donations, always acting with a friendly, helpful, and thankful attitude towards donors.Unload trucks.Organize and prepare donations for transportation.Work as a team with staff members and community volunteers.Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.Keep the receiving area and equipment clean, in good repair, and organized.Minimum RequirementsA visible relationship with Jesus Christ, and ability to share the gospel as opportunities arise.Consistent attendance at a local Christian churchAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, and sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods.Must be trainable in use of pallet jack and forkliftProficient computer skills, including Google Suite and general computer operations.Ideal Candidate Would HaveHigh school diploma and a valid driver's license.Good decision-making skills, and an ability to work with people in crisis situations.Excellent ability to organize and make a space efficient and welcomingMust be able to delegate others to do work.Must agree with the Open Door Mission Statement of Faith.Perks & Available Benefits401(K) plan with a 2% company contribution and 4% company matchHealth Insurance optionHealth Savings Account with employer contributionFlexible Spending AccountComplimentary Life Insurance, Accidental Death/Dismemberment Insurance, and long-term disability.PTO and paid Sick leave11 Paid HolidaysRightNow Media MembershipChrist-centered staff cultureOn-campus cafeteria with complimentary mealsOn-campus exercise roomsDetailsJob Type: Full TimePay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourPay Frequency: Bi-WeeklySchedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PMWork Location: Elkhorn Donation CenterAbout Open Door Mission: Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission founded in 1954 committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
