Join our growing Distribution team today.Job Overview:Responsible for having a strong understanding of the entire warehouse and receiving procedures. Also needs to understand the products, receiving procedures, and back stock put away procedures. A receiver is responsible for moving product off trucks, monitoring the quality of product, entering it into inventory, and properly putting product in its respective staging location.What does it mean to be a part of the Receiving team?In these essential roles, you will work directly with the inventory department, Supervisors and leads to verify quantities of product received and loaded onto trucks at the distribution centers. These roles have a strong understanding of products that we carry, all receiving/loading procedures and back stock. This team ensures that products are in the proper staging locations so we can efficiently receive and load trucks with products accurately while maintaining a clean and safe work area.The Receiver position works closely with the Inventory Control department to ensure accuracy of all incoming products. In this position, you will be using electronic equipment to scan and record required information to ensure inventory accuracy.Company Benefits:Excellent benefits that include: Medical (HSA & FSA), Dental, VisionLife, Home, Auto, and Pet Insurance offerings401K Savings plan with matching contribution OR union PensionPaid time off and Paid Holidays (Flexible Sick Time)Paid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementLearning and Development programsDiversity Belonging Innovation GroupsCompany picnics and celebration mealsCareer AdvancementWeekly PaychecksWeekly paychecks with option to withdraw early ( )Pay & Schedule:Starting wage $22.75$2.00/hr for Weekends$2.00/hr for Freezer environment (if applicable)$1.25/hr for nightsJob Responsibilities:Verifies quantities of product received against the packing slip/purchase order.Checks and reports any damage found due to refrigeration, travel or handling by inbound freight company.Sorts or breakdowns all incoming product.Builds steady wrap pallets to be put into back stock reserves.Ensures that all labeling of product and pallets are accurate for put-away.Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.Understand and properly follow all receiving procedures, including how to use RF systems.Understand all paperwork related to receiving including how to read and use Purchase Order (PO) receivers, Bills of lading, and packing lists.Ability to work overtime as needed.Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.Job Requirements:Must be 18 years of age due to equipment operation.Prior experience as a shipping, receiving, or stock clerk is highly desirable.Must be able to lift cases of various weight and sizes up to 90 pounds.Must be able to read labels and make decisions on properly stacking and loading product into trucks.Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately availableWork Environment:Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery OperationAbility to do repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements required.Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
