Job description
Position Overview
Receiving Clerk needs to receive, inspect, and record shipments. You will be responsible for unloading the product, inspecting for any damage, and verify accuracy. The Receiving Clerk must have adequate physical strength to unload shipments, basic math skills, as well as clerical skills to update records.
Morning Shift
Key Responsibilities & Core Duties
Shipment Inspection: Unload freight shipments, inspect packages for damage, and verify counts/weights against packing slips.
Invoice Verification: Ensure invoices are signed for satisfactory deliveries and coordinate vendor returns/credits for damaged goods.
Department Routing: Route incoming merchandise to appropriate store departments and stage pallet goods in backstore areas.
Dock Safety & Security: Keep the receiving dock clean, organized, salted/shoveled in winter, and report security risks.
Qualifications & Position Requirements
Previous forklift and electric pallet jack operating experience preferred.
Steel toe safety shoes required; ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.
Basic computer literacy and warehouse recordkeeping skills.
