Job description
Airtomic – Receiving Inspector Level IReceiving Inspector is a key member of the receiving team, supporting the receipt of customer product for repair and overhaul, open boxes, ensure repair orders and the parts received match, correctly identified and ensures not damaged in shipping. The receiving inspector evaluates customer repair orders to ensure accuracy. This position also logs repair orders into our business system creating repair orders, work order technical documents, identification tags, and moves product to manufacturing cellsKey Position Responsibilities:Acts proactively supporting safety at all times. Safety is ALWAYS firstPosition is up tempo and very detail orientedReceives and organizes all parts and components arriving at our facilityMaintains traceability of part numbers, serial numbers and paperwork at all timesGenerates inspection packages for further engineering evaluationGenerates work orders in our business systems, produces identification tags, attach tags to productSupport engineering team for various task as requiredCollects all the packaging materials for reuse.Maintains good housekeeping in the areaProvide clear, timely, responsiveness and communication.Self-motivated and goal-oriented team member.Available to work overtime as required.Performs other related duties as required.Support production with all required technical needs.Improve manufacturing processes through continuous improvement projects.Build repair instructions using visual and dimensional inspection methods.Required qualification / Education / and/or Experience:High school diploma, GED or equivalentValid driver's licenseMust be capable to write, read, and speak English fluently.Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this positionAbility to organize priorities, daily tasks, and complete actions on time, in a fast-paced environment.Must have experience with Excel, Outlook, Word as well as other miscellaneous computer skills.Must be able to show proof of legally ability to work in United StatesMust be able to pass FAA drug screen and background checkPhysical Demands:Light to moderate physical effort required.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, and move about the facilityPreferred Qualifications:Aerospace / Defense industry experience a plusFAA A&P certificate is a strong plusRead and interpret blueprints and approved technical dataExperience working in a manufacturing facilityExperience working with hand toolsExperience working with measurement gagesMechanically inclined candidatesTravel – 0%Reporting to this Position: N/ARelationships:Reports to Operation ManagerDaily interaction with all levels within RBC Bearings and customersWe offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, and company matched 401k plan.RBC Bearings is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/H
