ReceptionistWe are seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, customers, and callers. This position in Waukesha, WI is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing incoming calls and visitors, maintaining office communications, and supporting general administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable interacting with people at all levels of the organization.Receptionist Responsibilities:Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls; take and relay messages as neededUse the paging system to communicate with employees when necessaryGreet visitors, monitor visitor access, and maintain awareness of facility security proceduresReceive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and deliveriesOperate the postage machine and prepare outgoing mailMonitor and maintain postage and office supply inventoriesMaintain employee and department directories, phone lists, and organizational chartsUpdate company intranet postings and internal communicationsCreate and distribute employee birthday and anniversary announcementsCoordinate and organize onsite company events and employee activitiesMaintain the employee photo board and other office postingsAssist the Engineering Department with creating and organizing shop booksProvide general administrative support as neededRequirements for Receptionist:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or associate degree in Administrative Support or a related field preferredApproximately 3 years of related administrative, receptionist, or customer service experience preferredExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsProfessional and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with employees, visitors, customers, and the general publicStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prepare basic reports, business correspondence, and written instructionsAbility to effectively communicate information and respond to questionsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling informationAbility to sit and stand for extended periods of timeAbility to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to perform routine office and administrative tasks throughout the workday
