Internal / Used Car (Recon) Technician | Hudson Ford

Join One of the Busiest Ford Service Departments in the Region!

Hudson Ford is seeking an experienced Recon Technician to join our growing team. This full-time position plays a critical role in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning used vehicle inventory before it reaches the sales lot.

As a Recon Technician, you'll work on a variety of makes and models while enjoying a consistent internal workflow, limited customer interaction, and the support of one of the busiest Ford dealerships in the area. If you take pride in producing quality work, working efficiently, and helping deliver retail-ready vehicles, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do Perform inspections, diagnostics, and reconditioning of used vehicle inventory

Complete maintenance and repair work to prepare vehicles for retail sale

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, drivability, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC concerns

Identify and document required repairs according to dealership standards

Ensure vehicles meet safety, operational, and appearance standards

Utilize diagnostic tools and service information systems to efficiently diagnose concerns

Collaborate with the service, parts, and used vehicle departments to meet production goals

Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation

Support vehicle turnaround timelines and inventory readiness

What You'll Bring 2+ years of automotive technician experience preferred

Previous dealership, independent repair shop, or reconditioning experience

Experience working on domestic and import vehicles

Strong diagnostic and repair abilities

Ford experience or certifications preferred but not required

ASE Certifications are a plus

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
