Referral/Care CoordinatorRequired Skills & Experience:High school diploma or GEDStrong customer service and professional communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environmentReliable, punctual attendanceNice to Have Skills & Experience:Prior medical office experience (referral processing experience strongly preferred)Experience processing referrals for HMO plansExperience using EMR systemsKnowledge of medical codingBilingual in English/Spanish preferredJob Description:Insight Global is seeking a Referral/Care Coordinator for a top healthcare services client. This individual will support medical management and referral coordination by ensuring patients are efficiently scheduled for specialty care, authorizations are properly obtained, and all referral documentation is accurately maintained.The ideal candidate is patient-focused, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA guidelines.Day-to-Day:Coordinate and process all patient referrals for specialty servicesObtain and manage referral authorizations per protocolCommunicate with patients regarding scheduling and referral statusEnter referral, hospital, outpatient, and DME authorizations into the systemTrack outstanding referral reports and follow up as neededReceive consultant reports and route documentation to physiciansCoordinate pre-admission testing with clinic staff and patientsMaintain compliance with company policies and HIPAA standards
