Referral Management Services ClerkPuget Sound Military Appointment Center - Fife, WA 98424Salary Range $22.98 - $22.98 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Diploma Travel Percentage None Category Entry LevelDescriptionCompass Government Solutions is seeking a Referral Management Services Clerk to support the Puget Sound Military Appointing Center (PSMAC). Puget Sound Military Appointing Center (PSMAC) is the primary centralized service hub for appointment services, referral management, and care coordination for PSMHS beneficiaries. This role helps ensure timely access to high-quality healthcare by processing referrals, managing beneficiary inquiries, and supporting specialty appointing operations within the MHS GENESIS system.Work Schedule & LocationHours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (excluding federal holidays)Location: th Street E, Fife, WA, 98424JOB DUTIES:Review and process specialty care referrals within required timelinesDetermine whether patients are appointed to the MTF or deferred to the networkCoordinate specialty appointments and conduct outbound scheduling and reminder callsManage inbound and outbound calls in a high-volume healthcare environmentVerify beneficiary eligibility and provide clear guidance on referral statusProcess Secure Messaging System (SMS) appointment requestsCommunicate referral updates, denials, or incomplete requests to providersAccurately document all actions in MHS GENESISSupport urgent referrals and ensure compliance with access-to-care standardsPrioritize tasks in alignment with mission requirementsQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED requiredHealthcare administrative experience preferredExperience in referral management, medical scheduling, patient access, medical records, or insurance/authorization support strongly preferredProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related software requiredStrong general computer skills, including accurate data entry, navigating multiple systems, reviewing electronic records, and maintaining documentationHigh attention to detail with the ability to review information for accuracy, identify errors or missing information, and follow established proceduresAbility to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize tasks, and complete referrals accurately and timelyStrong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsMust be able to obtain clearance to access the work site located on a CSMHS military installation and be granted a Common Access Card
