Maintenance Technician (Direct Hire)With Staff Management | SMX, you'll get a weekly paycheck, learn new skills, meet new people, and work with a great management team in a clean and safe environment. Seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, and repair ammonia and nitrogen refrigeration systems in a food-production environment. This role supports efficient freezing, storage, and plant cooling operations while ensuring safety, quality, and uptime. Location Hilliard, OH + Pay: $35.85/hr + Shift: Mon-Thurs, 6 AM-4 PM. Employment Types: Full Time, Direct Hire.Duties:Operate & maintain ammonia/nitrogen refrigeration systems, blast freezers, condensers, and chilled water systemsPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting & mechanical/electrical repairsMonitor gauges, logs & system data for performanceFollow GMP, safety procedures & maintain clean work areasRead manuals/blueprints; order parts; support other maintenance techs as neededPosition Requirements:1-3 years of hands-on industrial ammonia refrigeration experienceExperience with vacuum systems, screw compressors, storage/freezer systemsNitrogen flash freezer experience preferredElectrical, pipe fitting, pneumatics & hydraulics experience helpfulRequirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Must be at least 18 years old.
