n nJob Summary:
nThe Registered Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.
nResponsibilities:
nnnDelivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
n
nnPerforms noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
n
nnPerform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.
n
n nCertification and Licensures Required:
nnnRRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist License)
n
nnActive NBRC Credential for RRT
n
nnCPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
n
nnBLS (Basic Life Support)
n
nnNRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months of start date
n
nnACLS (Cardiovascular)
n
nnPALS (Pediatric) - within 6 months of start date
n
n nEducation Required:
nnnTechnical Respiratory Therapy Degree
n
nnAssociates Degree - Respiratory Therapy
n
n nExperience Required:
nn6 months minimum
n nSpecific Skills Required:
nnnClinical and computer skills appropriate to the position
