Anchor Loans, established in 1998, is the nation’s leading private, direct lender to experienced residential real estate investors and builders, and the first to surpass $10 billion in total fundings. Renowned for expediting financing for developers and investors, we specialize in bridge loans, ground-up construction, and single-family rental solutions for non-owner-occupied projects. Headquartered in beautiful Thousand Oaks, California, Anchor Loans currently lends in 48 states and is expanding into new markets and service lines to better serve our current and future borrowers.

Position Summary:

The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for growing Anchor Loans' broker network and increasing loan production within an assigned territory. This role focuses on developing new broker relationships, expanding existing partnerships, increasing market share, and serving as a trusted advisor to the broker community. Success is measured by new broker acquisition, production growth, relationship management, and delivering an exceptional broker experience throughout the lending process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Expand Anchor Loans' brand presence and broker origination volume within the assigned territory by developing and executing a strategic market growth plan focused on acquiring, activating, and growing relationships with real estate investment loan brokers.

Drive broker production by consistently exceeding sales goals through the acquisition of new broker relationships, re-engagement of inactive accounts, and growth of existing broker partners utilizing Anchor Loans' business purpose lending products.

Develop and maintain trusted relationships with mortgage brokers, broker owners, and referral partners, positioning Anchor Loans as their preferred lending partner for fix-and-flip, bridge, ground-up construction, and other business purpose loan products.

Identify opportunities to increase market share by monitoring competitive pricing, market trends, and broker feedback, while partnering with internal stakeholders on targeted pricing initiatives, promotions, and broker-focused campaigns.

Educate brokers on Anchor Loans' products, underwriting guidelines, processes, and value proposition to increase product adoption and improve broker confidence throughout the lending process.

Partner closely with internal Operations, Underwriting, Credit, and Closing teams to ensure an exceptional broker experience from initial submission through loan funding while proactively resolving issues that may impact service levels.

Manage an active pipeline of broker-submitted opportunities by monitoring loan status, identifying potential obstacles, and working collaboratively with brokers and internal teams to keep transactions moving toward successful closing.

Serve as the primary market ambassador for Anchor Loans by representing the company at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, brokerage meetings, and other business development opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate new broker partnerships.

Utilize CRM tools to effectively manage broker relationships, document sales activities, track pipeline performance, and maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and business development efforts.

Assist brokers with deal structuring and preliminary loan qualification to maximize submission quality and improve approval and funding outcomes.

Conduct business with the highest level of integrity by adhering to all company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical lending standards while proactively identifying and escalating potential fraud or unethical broker activity.
