nJob Description
nThe C & I Commercial Relationship Manager II is responsible for serving as a trusted business advisor to clients and providing a full breadth of banking solutions to meeting their financial objectives and needs while also establishing a network of referral sources and Centers of Influence with regular calling efforts to generate new business opportunities. The C & I Commercial Relationship Manager II is also responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships, ensuring an exceptional client experience, while appropriately managing risk, credit quality, servicing, etc. in accordance with Northwest standards and in partnership with a portfolio management team.
nEssential Functions
nnnDevelop and expand existing commercial banking relationships
n
nnProspect actively and successfully bring in new relationships to Northwest
n
nnEngage with the various product partners on a regular basis to discuss cross selling opportunities and referrals to expand and deepen client relationships
n
nnAchieve and exceed budget goals as assigned individually and by region
n
nnActively participate in community and professional networking events
n
nnDevelop meaningful “Centers of Influence” relationships
n
nnEstablish and maintain an ongoing prospect list, and a set calling and meeting schedule for prospects, existing clients, and COIs
n
nnEncourage existing clients to provide ongoing referrals for all types of products and services, and clients and their employees to maintain their personal banking at Northwest
n
nnManage a commercial loan portfolio of both credit and noncredit clients
n
nnMake loan presentations and recommendations to Credit, team leaders, and senior line of business managers as required
n
nnPartner with credit and portfolio management to ensure annual reviews and line of credit renewals are completed on a timely basis
n
nnEnsure noncredit clients have appropriate treasury management and other related commercial services, and risk ratings are appropriate
n
nnAs required, collect on delinquent accounts
n
nnAnalyze financial statements and related credit material to stay apprised of client performance and assess risk on a continuous basis in conjunction with Portfolio Management
n
nnComplete loan closings in partnership with Portfolio Management
n
nnEnsure all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc. in partnership with Portfolio Management, compliance with Northwest policies and procedures, and with Federal and State regulations
n
nnParticipate in continued sales, product and credit training
n
n nEducation and Work Experience Preferred
nnnBachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing
n
nn5-6 years of account relationship management
n
nn5-6 years delivering strong sales performance
n
n nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
nnnComprehensive knowledge and understanding of C & I lending, loan servicing, and credit and non-credit products.
n
nnStrong negotiating skills in terms loan structure and pricing.
n
nnKnowledge and understanding of risk management.
n
nnExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
n
nnAbility to multitask and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
