Job description
A leading industrial manufacturing organization is looking to add an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to support multiple facilities across the Midwest. Based in the Columbus, OH area, this person will be responsible for strengthening EHS compliance, standardizing safety programs, and helping build a more proactive safety culture across a growing multi‑site operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on EHS professional who enjoys partnering with operations, driving continuous improvement, and building scalable safety systems that support long‑term business growth.
The Role
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, HR, and site leadership teams to drive safety culture, employee engagement, and accountability.
Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction.
Develop and deliver EHS training, written programs, procedures, and communication tools related to key safety and environmental requirements.
Monitor EHS performance metrics, identify trends, and implement initiatives that improve compliance, reduce incidents, and strengthen operational performance.
The Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, with 5+ years of EHS experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety program management, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
Experience supporting environmental compliance activities including hazardous waste, SDS management, air permitting, stormwater, and related regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to influence and build relationships with employees, supervisors, and senior leaders while maintaining a strong floor presence.
Multi‑site manufacturing experience and professional certifications such as CSP, ASP are preferred.
