Registered Behavior Technician

New Patterns ABA VA - Boykins, VA

Job Summary:

Join our dynamic team at New Patterns ABA VA, where every voice is heard as we work together to discover each individual's potential with compassionate, flexible, and collaborative in-home and community-based ABA therapy. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians to join our team and work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for clients.

About the Role:

As an RBT or Behavior Technician, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 therapy to clients in-home and community-based settings, implementing individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a BCBA, collecting and recording data on client progress and behaviors, and participating in team meetings and training sessions. You will also maintain a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families, adhering to ethical guidelines and standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in-home and community-based settings

Implement individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a BCBA

Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors

Assist in the development of behavior intervention strategies

Participate in team meetings and training sessions

Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families

Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Current RBT certification through the BACB (preferred)

Reliable transportation

Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities (preferred)

Flexibility, empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented, client-centered approach

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, timeliness, and effective time management skills
