Job description
Clinical Office AssistantClinical duties include:Rooming patients.Preparing patients for exams.Allergy skin testing, spirometry, and other testing requested by Physician/Provider.Obtaining vitals and patient histories.Assisting Physician/s and/or Extender/s with exams.Monitoring, cleaning, stocking exam rooms.Cleaning patient waiting area.Documentation of electronic medical record data.Other duties as necessary/assigned.Clerical duties may include:Scheduling patients for appointments and ancillaries,Telephone interactions.Telephone triage.Prior authorizations and pre-certifications.Assisting with Supply orders.Other duties as assigned/necessary.As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain associated workplace trainings.QualificationsTeamwork Ability: AdvancedReliable Transportation: AdvancedOral Communication: AdvancedMedical Office: AdvancedElectronic Medical Record: AdvancedDocumentation: AdvancedAccuracy: AdvancedCustomer Service: AdvancedInterpersonal: AdvancedAttention to Detail: AdvancedComputer: IntermediatePatient Care: AdvancedScheduling: Some KnowledgePre-certification: IntermediateMulti-Tasking: AdvancedTelephone Etiquette: AdvancedLoyal: Shows firm and constant support to a causeDedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityEnthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interestTeam Player: Works well as a member of a groupDetail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellSelf-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside helpAbility to Make an Impact: Inspired to perform well by the ability to contribute to the success of a project or the organizationHigh School or Equivalent or better.Technical/other training or better.Must have previous experience in medical office setting, Allergy experience a plus. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a very fast-paced environment. Ability to assist with minor in-office procedures if necessary.
