Registered Dental Assistant (Arleta)Arleta Dental Clinic - Arleta, CA 91331OverviewSalary Range $27.04 - $33.12 Hourly Position Type Full TimeDescriptionJOB SUMMARYThis position will assist the dentist and the dental hygienist in providing dental care to clinic patients.Essential ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for dental procedures, including seating and draping.Assist the dentist during procedures, such as handling instruments, rinsing, and suctioning.Take dental X-rays and teeth impressions for study casts.Perform coronal polishing.Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition.Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment.Comply with dental infection control protocols.Prepare treatment rooms.Mix dental materials.Provide post-procedure care and instructions.Update patient records.Monitor and maintain dental supply inventory.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIESKnowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills.Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.Ability to build productive working relationships.Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEGraduate degree from an Accredited Dental Assisting program or CDA.1 to 2 years of related experience.CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGERegistered Dental Assistant with the Dental Board of California.X-ray certified.Sealant certified.Coronal polish certified.Ultrasonic certified.Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.
