nJob Description​

nThe Registered Dietitian is the nutrition professional that develops and oversees the implementation of nutrition interventions/prescriptions for patients nutrition diagnosis.

nnnDemonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Practice (Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Diagnosis, Nutrition Intervention/Plan of Care and Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation.

nnDemonstrates Proficiency in Standards of Professional Performance (Quality In Practice, Competency/Accountability, Provisions of Services, Application of Research, Communication and Applications of Knowledge and Utilization and Management of Resources).

n

nnUses Nutrition Care Process (NCP) ADIME-assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation for patient's nutritional assessment

n

nnPerform Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and documenting clinical criteria to demonstrate patients with malnutrition

n

nnCollaborate with other members of the healthcare team regarding patients nutrition plan of care

n

nnComplete yearly department competency and other performance improvement projects as assigned.

n

nnUses Evidence Based Practice in patient care

n

nnServe as a preceptor to dietetic interns

n

n nEmployee has 90 days from hire to get their secondary state license.

nApplicable Experience:

nLess than 1 year

nLicensed Dietician (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration, Registered Dietitian - Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)

nBachelor's Degree
