Job description
This is a remote position.
Assist with pre-op and post-op visits
Educate patients about pre-op and post-op care
Support physician during procedures
Apply sterile techniques and practices
Provide excellent nursing care to patients
Review paperwork thoroughly prior to procedure to ensure physical and medical history and other required elements are present
Assist in discharging patients to caregiver (s)
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPPA compliance at all times
Requirements
Experience with working with sterile fields and with sterile techniques required
A minimum of 1 year OR experience preferred for LPN, required for RN
Experience with IV’s including starting strongly preferred
ACLS certification strongly preferred
Initial Training: Paid training, most of this will be online and interactive virtual training.Schedule: Flexibility is required, shifts are generally 8 -10 hours but can vary based on the patient and surgery volume. Need to be available to work mostly Wednesday – Saturday, shifts can start as early as 5:30AM. Notification for schedule provided 1-2 weeks ahead of time.
