About This Role
The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. **Schedule:** Full-time, Night shift
What You\'ll Do
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient\'s health or situation.
Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
Develop a patient-centered plan of care with specific goals/outcomes.
Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
Adhere to established protocols and document care accurately.
Requirements
**Education:**
Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire
**Experience:**
Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program
**Licenses & Certifications:**
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
