Registered Nurse - 5 Tower: Cardiovascular PCU - Full Time - Nights
Mixed acuity unit with progressive care population
Heart of hearts unit specializing in cardiac care and services
Innovative team using evidence-based practice to support nursing autonomy and workflow
Growth opportunities for all levels of nursing
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Education and Experience Required
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
Certifications and Licensure Required
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Professional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence
