Job description
Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, focusing on adult cancer patients in an inpatient setting. They utilize evidence-based practices, perform the nursing process, and adapt care to meet diverse patient needs while fostering collaboration and communication across care teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and individualized approaches.
Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and cultural sensitivity to ensure personalized care.
Coordinate and document safe, high-quality care, promoting teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and compliance with policies and standards.
Support performance improvement initiatives and participate in evidence-based practice, research, and data collection to enhance patient outcomes.
Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a qualified nursing workforce and a healthy work environment.
Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, including BLS and nursing licensure.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
Less than 1 year of clinical experience preferred; strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills are essential.
Proficiency in technology and documentation, ability to respond effectively in fast-paced environments, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.
