The RN - Acute Care- Ortho Surgical provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team. They practice according to evidence-based standards, uphold the nursing scope of practice, and adhere to professional and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent, and individualized care, partnering with patients and families.
Coordinate safe, quality care through effective communication, documentation, and teamwork.
Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Support resource management, protocol development, and continuous professional development.
Mentor and serve as a preceptor for other staff and students.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in applicable state.
Current BLS certification; additional certifications as required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
Ability to utilize technology effectively in clinical practice.
