Job description
Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring individualized treatment based on evidence-based practices. They practice in environments supported by Nurse Managers and adhere to the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, Scope of Practice, and ANA Code of Ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent care tailored to patient populations.
Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making.
Ensure documentation, promote teamwork, and foster a respectful, inclusive environment.
Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Support resource management and develop protocols to improve care quality and reduce readmissions.
Serve as preceptor or mentor, modeling professional nursing standards to develop future staff.
Maintain compliance with organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associates or Bachelor of Nursing (preferred).
Current RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification required at hire.
Experience in direct patient care preferred.
Strong communication, clinical, critical thinking, and time management skills.
Ability to use technology effectively and respond calmly to emergencies.
