Job description
Role Overview: This position is for a full-time Inpatient Registered Nurse in an advanced acute care unit, providing comprehensive care to medical patients with diverse diagnoses. The nurse assesses, plans, executes, and evaluates nursing activities to meet patient and family needs, ensuring safety, satisfaction, and compassionate interactions. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing care plans, delivering treatments and medications, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs. The role emphasizes active participation in quality and safety initiatives, unit decision-making, and evidence-based practice. The nurse must meet qualification standards and demonstrate competencies outlined in department-specific training.
Qualifications & Skills: A graduate from a recognized nursing program is required. Key skills include strong assessment, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Knowledge of equipment handling, medication administration, and diagnostic procedures is essential. The role requires accountability, team orientation, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Duties:
Assess and address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs
Formulate and coordinate individualized care plans, including patient education and discharge planning
Deliver direct patient care, treatments, medications, and diagnostics
Evaluate and revise care plans based on patient responses
Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary teams
Participate in quality improvement, safety programs, and evidence-based practice initiatives
Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in unit-based decision-making
