Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher educational attainment from an accredited programActive and unencumbered Registered Nurse license1+ years experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably in an inpatient or outpatient environmentStrong understanding of psychotropic medications, their side effects, and proper administration protocolsDemonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards as outlined by the American Nurses Association (ANA)
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in consultation with a multidisciplinary teamAdminister medications as prescribed and monitor for efficacy and potential side effectsProvide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, using evidence-based therapeutic communication techniquesFacilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops on topics related to mental health and well-beingCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care, including discharge planning and aftercare support
