Cardiac Respiratory PCU Fulltime Nights
Baptist South is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Respiratory PCU Fulltime Nights. Open to RNs with Med/Surg, PCU or Critical Care experience. *New Hires eligible for a $3,750 Sign on Bonus*
Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs. PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.
Job Responsibilities
Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
Act as the patient advocate
Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
Education/Degree Required
Associate of Science in Nursing
Degree Preferred
Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
Experience
1-2 years. Cardiac Experience Preferred 1-2 years Telemetry Experience Hospital Experience
Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Licensed Registered Nurse Required
