Must-Have:
Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience required
Required Cardiac Cath Lab Procedure Experience:
- Circulate Procedures
- Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult
- Left heart catheterization
- Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
- Right heart catheterization
Required Medication Experience:
- Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring
Required Professional Skills/Experience:
- Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias
- Monitoring Procedural Sedation
- Cerner experience required
Description:
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a high-acuity setting.
The average daily census is 25 patients in a 5-room unit.
The nurse will work 3 12-hour shifts per week from 06:30 to 19:00.
The position requires 2-3 weekends of work per contract.
On-call availability is required as needed.
The nurse may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs.
Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
As an acute care hospital, it is classified as a Level I trauma center.
A total of 562 beds are staffed within the facility.
The registered nurse will be responsible for the administration and monitoring of procedural sedation.
Dysrhythmias will need to be interpreted and managed as part of the role.
Experience with Cerner electronic health records is essential for this position.
The unit supports rapid response teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
The facility upholds high standards of patient-centered care.
