Job description
Advance your nursing career by providing critical expertise in a high-acuity environment. In this contract role, you will deliver patient care alongside a dedicated healthcare team and utilize your specialized knowledge in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology settings.
Schedule/Hours
Full-time, contract position
Rotating shifts, including on-call coverage as needed
Qualifications Current, active RN license
Recent experience in a Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology nursing role
Proficient with cardiac catheterization, monitoring, and assisting with interventional procedures
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Responsibilities Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care during diagnostic and interventional procedures
Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, responding rapidly to changes in patient status
Administer medications, sedatives, and manage conscious sedation as directed
Prepare procedure rooms and assist physicians during vascular access, device placement, and other interventions
Educate patients and families regarding pre- and post-procedure care and address any concerns
Document all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately in the EMR
