Job description
Position: Operating Room Nurse
Role: Provide high-quality, safe, patient-centered perioperative care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Practice based on evidence-based standards, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity. Key duties include performing the nursing process, partnering with patients and families, coordinating care, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities: Deliver relationship-based care, utilize effective communication methods, participate in performance improvement, serve as a preceptor or mentor, promote evidence-based practice, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience. Required certifications include RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact), BLS, ACLS, and PALS. An associate or diploma in nursing is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
