Job description
The Registered Nurse - CCU provides specialized, high-quality care in an 18-bed Coronary Care Unit focusing on critically ill cardiac patients, including those with myocardial infarction, heart failure, cardiac arrest, and other severe cardiac conditions.
As a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, the nurse performs comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care based on evidence-based standards. They partner with patients and families, ensuring culturally competent, relationship-based care.
The role emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and participation in quality improvement and research activities , supporting safe, efficient, and effective care delivery. The nurse also acts as a mentor and preceptor , fostering professional growth and a healthy work environment.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or BSN , with less than one year of clinical experience required. Skills needed are excellent communication, computer proficiency, and interpersonal abilities . The role requires adherence to professional standards, organizational policies, and a commitment to continuous learning and resource management.
