Job Details:
Job Title: RN: Corrections
Location: Goochland, Virginia
Setting: State Prison
Pay Range: $ - $ weekly
Schedule: Nights, 36-hours per week, Every other weekend, Holidays as needed
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
Requirements: 3-5 years of experience as a RN, Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1-3 years of experience in the correctional setting, Valid Registered Nurse license, Be willing to obtain Virginia licensure
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver acute and chronic care services within the scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a correctional setting.
Manage medication administration, triage, and emergency response procedures in alignment with correctional healthcare standards.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment-providing care that truly matters.
Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and inmates while ensuring quality patient care.
