Join Our Emergency Department Team at Cottage Hospital! Our Emergency Department (ED) is looking for a skilled, dedicated RN to join our hardworking team. Staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and highly trained nursing staff, we provide critical care to patients of all ages with a wide range of illnesses and injuries. As an RN, you’ll play a vital role in planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care, ensuring quality and safety in every aspect of your work. Job Summary
Assists in planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within scope of practice for a registered nurse. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age‑specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s/area’s/department’s policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
As a registered nurse you will assist in planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within scope of practice
Use your knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care
You will assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age‑specific needs
Quality of care is provided in an efficient safe manner consistent with policies and procedures for the department
Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the assigned unit and the organization
Resolve patient care and departmental situations within scope of responsibility and refer problems beyond that scope to appropriate individuals
Assists with data collection in research studies being conducted in work area
Qualifications
Education
Preferred
Associates or better in Nursing or related field.
