Job description
Role:
Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, responsible for delivering competent nursing care through critical thinking and adherence to professional standards.
Responsibilities:
Perform assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, care coordination, teaching, and evaluation. Uphold standards of ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, evidence-based practice, and resource utilization. Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skills aligned with the specific clinical area.
Qualifications:
Associate's, Bachelor's, or Diploma in Nursing; current Virginia RN license; certifications in TNCC, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; minimum of 2 years recent hospital ED experience; EPIC system familiarity preferred.
Skills:
Critical thinking, adaptability, strong communication, collaboration, and clinical expertise in emergency nursing.
Key Duties:
Provide high-quality emergency care, ensure patient safety, and support health promotion efforts.
Note: Flexibility in scheduling required; this is a primary position not scheduled around other jobs.
