Job description
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, responsible for providing patient-centered emergency care in a rural, 20-bed unit serving Rutherford County and nearby communities.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing thorough patient assessments and identifying care needs
Initiating appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
Providing age- and condition-specific nursing care
Completing accurate documentation to support medical necessity
Developing and updating interdisciplinary care plans
Qualifications and skills:
Current NC license or Compact license with NC endorsement
BLS certification required within 30 days; ACLS within 90 days
Associate’s degree in nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
Minimum of one year RN experience in Emergency Department
Self-scheduling in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Offers a commitment bonus of $20,000 for experienced RNs and $10,000 for new graduates
