Job description
St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ER Inpatient Holds unit. In this fast-paced setting, you will provide evidence-based care to patients awaiting admission or transfer, including assessment, medication administration, monitoring, and coordination of care. You’ll collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and ensure safe handoffs. RNs are expected to maintain accurate documentation, follow all safety and infection-prevention protocols, and support quality improvement initiatives while mentoring newer staff and contributing to a compassionate, patient-centered culture.
