Description:
Average daily census: 19
Total beds: 25
Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
Locals must be greater than 50 miles from the facility.
Unit does not accept first-time travelers.
Special patient diagnoses include: CHF, pneumonia, observation for chest pain, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, ETOH withdrawal, opiate withdrawal, and debility.
Special procedures involve a scattered bed unit serving swing bed, detox, and medical patients.
Bariatric equipment is rented when needed.
The hospital has day surgery only, a 7-bed emergency room, and a 25-bed inpatient unit serving detox, swing, and medical patients.
RN-to-patient ratio is 1:6 during the day and 1:7 at night, with LPN support for medication administration and/or swing bed assignments.
The majority of the patient census consists of subacute clients requiring rehabilitation for debility, wound care, and long-term IV antibiotic therapy.
There is no formal dress code, but scrubs are required.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
Candidates will float to various units as needed.
Charting experience with specific systems is required.
Background check policies are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Modules may take up to 10 hours to complete, and this time is recorded via facility reports.
