Job Description:
Schedule 7p-7a
Collaborates and promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health/situation and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.
Develops, individualizes, and prioritizes the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and health team members.
Implements identified plans for patients and unit-specific process improvement with appropriate nursing interventions and physician orders in an accurate, timely manner.
Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services. Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Float Pool RN will display proficient clinical skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills. (Required)
Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members. (Required)
Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information within guidelines and applicable regulations. (Required)
Personal qualities such as kindness, compassion, understanding, integrity, respect, sense of humor, discretion, and confidentiality. (Required)
Ability to communicate verbally in English and in written form with persons of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective, and professional manner. (Required)
Education:
Associate's of Nursing (Required)
Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)
Work Experience:
1+ recent and relevant experience (Required)
2+ Critical care experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) Required
BLS, ACLS and NIHSS Required
Pay Range:
$32.76 - $57.47
