About This Role
The Registered Nurse in Inpatient Pediatric Oncology provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to patient care and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift
What You'll Do
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning technologies.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Initiate interventions related to changes in patient condition.
Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses.
Requirements
Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey. BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire. National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
