About This Role
The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery at Hackensack Meridian Health provides direct care to patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team. What You'll Do
Deliver nursing practices based on evidence-based research and standards of care.
Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members.
Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health and wellness.
Participate in multi-disciplinary discharging of patients for safe transitions.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing strongly preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire
Experience: 6+ months of relevant nursing experience required
2-3 years inpatient nursing experience preferred
Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid RN License in New Jersey
BLS/CPR certification required
ACLS certification preferred
NRP highly preferred
