About This Role
The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Schedule: Part‑time, Night shift
What You’ll Do
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
Perform age and disease‑specific assessments independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Implement age and disease‑specific care in an organized and timely manner.
Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar‑scanning and documentation technologies.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Adhere to HMH's Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.
Requirements
Education
Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years preferred.
Experience
Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program required.
Licenses & Certifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required by date of hire.
BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
