Role
Med Surg RN supporting a high-impact, multi-campus care team in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver personalized, evidence-based nursing care by owning the full nursing process from assessment to evaluation.
Build meaningful connections with patients and families, respecting their values and care goals.
Drive top clinical outcomes using current best practices and participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance.
Create a safe, collaborative environment fostering teamwork and staff engagement.
Mentor fellow nurses and interdisciplinary team members, supporting ongoing professional development.
Lead evidence-based practice initiatives, contribute to patient care decisions, and support continuous quality improvement.
Proactively plan care across the patient journey, shaping protocols to enhance experiences and reduce readmissions.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required); BSN preferred.
RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS/ACLS certifications (required).
National certification in specialty (preferred).
At least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience, with computer data entry proficiency.
Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems (preferred).
Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic technology tools.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage clinical emergencies effectively.
Strong critical thinking, time management, and evidence-based decision-making abilities.
