About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Mount Sinai Brooklyn is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation of care. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in managing complex patient needs and collaborating with a healthcare team.

Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift
What You'll Do
Conduct nursing assessments based on patient interviews, examinations, and observations.
Develop goal-oriented care plans with patient and family involvement.
Implement nursing actions consistent with care plans and hospital procedures.
Demonstrate technical skills reflecting professional nursing knowledge and judgment.
Assist in developing and evaluating standards of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, and discharge planning.
Provide professional nursing care to surgical stepdown patients, including IV therapy and medication administration.
Manage care for patients on telemetry, including IV antiarrhythmic drug administration and EKG interpretation.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Experience
Minimum 1 year telemetry Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting.
Progressive care experience a plus.
Licenses & Certifications
Current RN NYS License and registration certificate required.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
EKG skills and certification required.
IV/Phlebotomy certification skills required.
Specialty Certification preferred.
Cardiac Telemetry experience preferred.
