Job description
Travel Nurse Opportunity
Shift Details
3x12 hour shifts, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other week rotation, holidays as needed.
Floating between all facilities is required for all travelers.
Experience and Certification Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
First-time travelers are welcome.
BLS certification required.
ACLs and NIH certifications preferred.
Experience in Medical-Surgical Telemetry and Telemetry required.
Patient Care Focus
Caring for acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.
Common Patient Diagnoses
Acute and chronic respiratory illnesses
Post-operative general surgery
Post-operative general gynecological surgery
Post-operative total knee and hip replacements
Orthopedic conditions
Acute and chronic pain management
Active gastrointestinal bleeding
Congestive heart failure and pulmonary edema
Diabetes with hyperglycemic and hypoglycemic conditions
Renal failure
Drug overdose
Additional Patient Considerations
Patients with Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) scores below 7
Suicidal patients
Arrhythmias
Patients undergoing radioactive therapy
Uncontrolled or new onset seizures
Stable COVID-19 patients
IV Medication Administration
The following IV drips may be administered on the unit:
Heparin
TNA (Total Nutrient Admixture)
