Employment Type: Part time Shift: Night Shift Description: Job Description Summary At Saint Alphonsus Health System, we are looking for people who are living out their calling. Located at our Medical Center off I-84 and Garrity Blvd in Nampa, Idaho, our Nurses work in our beautiful Birkeland Maternity Center, our Nampa NICU is a 4 bed (Level II, 34 weeks to term). RNs working this unit will be expected to take shifts in both the Boise and Nampa Family Maternity Units as needed.
GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
Provides professional nursing care in collaboration with members of the health care team in the ongoing assessment, planning and treatment of patients and families. Utilizes resources wisely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional well‑being. Maintains accurate and complete documentation of nursing services. Serves as a patient advocate. In addition to providing hands‑on nursing care, works and serves in a broad range of capacities including, but not limited to, delegation, assessment, planning of care and treatment, teaching of the patient and the patient’s family. Expected to exercise competency in judgment, decision‑making, implementation of nursing intervention, delegation of function or responsibility, and administration of medications and treatments prescribed by legally authorized persons. Prior RN NICU experience is highly desired.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have an RN license in the state of Idaho prior to hire date.
If multistate license, must establish residency with Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
Must provide licensure or proof of application in the state of Oregon for RN license within 90 days of hire.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.
ACLS, NRP at six months of hire.
STABLE required at 12 months of hire.
