About This Role
The Registered Nurse in the OB/GYN department provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to patient care and possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Schedule: Full-time, Night shift
What You'll Do
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
Adhere to established protocols and document events accurately.
Requirements
Education: Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license required
BSN preferred or willing to obtain within three years of hire
Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience required
One year of Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and/or Nursery experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications: BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required
NRP and ACLS certification preferred
